Ever since the U.S. presidential election of 2016, the United States has been surrounded by numerous rumors regarding President Trump. One of which was that the president was involved in Russia’s manipulation of the U.S. presidential election. Because of the rumor, the president was under investigation by the Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Many of President Trump’s close advisers and former aides were trialed, but many were instead indicted with different charges. Even though no specific evidence came out, Mueller himself appeared confident that President Trump was somehow affiliated with Russia. Now, the result of the investigation has finally come out.
President Trump himself has visited Congress to review the report from Robert Mueller. Summarized by Attorney General William Barr, the report came out as insufficient evidence. This means that the investigation from the past 2 years came out as the president was not involved in Russia’s manipulation to the election. Even if the president was involved, there isn’t enough evidence to actually charge President Trump with a trial. President Trump, who repeatedly called this investigation a witch trial, stated that it was “illegal takedown that failed”. While the controversy of the presidential election remains, in legal stance, President Donald Trump is innocent. In the end, President Trump came out as President of the United States, and there is nothing that can stop him from it now.
