China is the fourth largest country in the world. With a vast landscape, it also possesses wide arid land and desert terrain. Every spring and winter, the dust from the desert blows south. This dust combines with the Chinese dust and air pollution that would make a perfect natural chemical weapon. With the annual coal consumption of more than 3.8 billion metric tonnes that has polluted the air in China, the dust that has been carried from the north is combined. This polluted dust would continue south until it reaches neighboring countries such as South Korea.
South Korea continues to blame China for the fine dust crisis that rises every spring and winter. However, China fights back with the argument that the South Korean government never provides significant evidence that would show that the dust comes from China. With this, China has not made any effort to decrease the fine dust that harms the neighboring countries. Korea, finding that the issue is getting out of control, has decided to ask for help from NASA. Since China claims that there is insufficient evidence, and the South Korean government should provide evidence that China is the cause. Therefore, with the help of NASA, the officials will be looking into the cause more specifically.
